Valuation

Valuation is a process of determining the economic value of an asset or business or company. There are many events on which business entities are required to get valued their business, shares, equity interests, intangibles etc. Sometimes it is required by Law e.g. Companies Act, 2013, Income Tax Act, 1961, RBI, SEBI, stock exchanges, etc. and sometimes for internal assessment.

Business valuation is not an exact science. It's the result of in-depth analysis, experience and professional judgment that meets the objective of the stakeholders. Often times, owners are turning to professional business valuators for an objective estimate of the business value.
